What a mid-parental target-height reference means
Why a parent-height calculation is a population reference, not a promise about an individual adult height.
The basic idea
A mid-parental calculation combines the recorded biological parent heights with a sex-category adjustment. It is often called a target-height reference.
It gives population-level context only. It does not account for every individual factor and is not an individual adult-height prediction.
When it should stay unavailable
If biological parent heights are missing or outside plausible input boundaries, Growth Clarity does not substitute a value.
A relevant condition or treatment can also make a general statistical estimate unsuitable. In that case the product keeps the estimate unavailable and explains the limit.
